The BIMR, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the McMaster Industry Liaison Office, invite you to attend an exciting new event focused on exploring and celebrating entrepreneurship on campus. This Entrepreneurship Symposium will feature presentations by professors and founders from the Faculties of Science and Engineering who have started companies based on their academic research. Several startup companies will be highlighted, with a keynote address by Prof. John Valliant, who founded Fusion Pharmaceuticals. If you are interested in learning about what is involved in starting a company, what are the steps in protecting intellectual property, what pitfalls should be avoided, and how one goes about raising funds, then this symposium is for you! It will also be a great opportunity for networking.
